Weft Blown - Ange Sewell, Weaver, Spinner, Dyer.

Shortly before moving to West Kilbride, I discovered the joy of knitting and realised that I really liked to make my own knitted items. Then, my husband got me a crochet book that got me hooked into that fun. And then I read about weaving in a magazine and thought that could be fun so a loom then arrived. Since then a few more looms have been added to the collection, lots more knitting and crochet has been done, and somehow a spinning wheel managed to find a place at home too. Occasional bouts of dyeing yarn and fibre, and felting things have also been known to happen.

I am now a self-confessed yarn-aholic and love making things through any yarn medium.

Using the inspiring local landscapes of the west coast of Scotland, I create handwoven items for you and your home.
All items are handwoven at Weft Blown on looms from small rigid heddle looms to a large Norwegian floor loom.

My handwoven and handspun items are available to buy from Weft Blown's studio in West Kilbride or online.  My Etsy shop is where you can also buy my handwoven items.  I am always happy to take commissions for items too.

Classes in weaving on rigid heddle and table looms and spinning on a spinning wheel are also held at Weft Blown's studio. There are set dates throughout the year for classes, but I am always happy to add extra dates if needed.

Classes range from two hours to a full day and can be one-to-one or for a group.

There are also children's Yarn Club classes held during the school holidays where children can come and learn the basics of yarn crafts.

Do get in touch for more information.
